Obama Tambien
Minnesota Progressive Project took my local Republican Party TO TASK and called them RACISTS for the following poll question that was up on their website last week:
No Way, José! 77
I blogged about it with "When in Doubt, Call them Racists."
Politics in Minnesota picked up the story with their "Best of the Blogs". The local party pulled the poll down immediately to quiet the furor of the left. One of our local politicians issued a heartfelt apology for the "regrettable language." Another received a total of THREE emails asking them to distance themselves from the RACISTS in their local party. There was rabid condemnation for the "entirely inappropriate" poll.
Now President Obama, at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinne on Saturday night, said this:
"We all know what happens in Arizona when you don't have an ID. . . . Adios amigos."
President Obama is a RACIST too I guess! I mean, you CAN'T say "Adios Amigos" in regards to Immigration because that is RACIST!
I might point out that Joe Bodell of Minnesota Progressive Project in his ended his last diatribe about the RACISTS of the Senate District 42 Republican Party by asking if it was time to "call a spade a spade", which some (not me- I use it all of the time) consider an off-color statement in itself.
President Obama, of course, was simply using the phrase "Adios Amigos" to be funny. Humor is NOT allowed in silly internet polls about Illegal Immigration, it IS allowed if you're wearing a tux and addressing the elites in the media while referring to Illegal Immigration. You are NOT allowed to make light of serious issues if you are a Republican. You ARE allowed to make fun of serious issues if you're a Democrat because you're all better than us and so much more enlightened and smart and such. And because you can read the mind of Republicans and we're all awful people. Right. Gotcha.
Hyper-Politically-Correct Liberals make me laugh.
