Dayton's Response to Teaching Resume: Uhh, uhh
I just caught a blog on True North today about the Jewish Community Action debate on Sunday with Tom Emmer, Tom Horner and Mark Dayton.
It's a great write-up of the evening and included this:
I approached Dayton when the debate was over, shook his hand and asked him about his own, fleeting experience as a teacher in the NYC school system: “Mr. Dayton, how many years did you teach in New York?”
Dayton: “From ‘69 to ‘71.”
Me: “So 2 full years?”
Dayton: “Uhh, uhh, uhh, yeah, 2 years.”
Me: “2 FULL years?”- emphasis on “full”.
Dayton: “Uhh, yeah.”
This is an obvious lie. Thanks to Sheila Kihne, we now know that Dayton worked as a substitute teacher for 3 months (in the Fall of 1969) and as a full-time teacher for 2 other semesters, quitting in the middle of the school year in January, 1971 for "personal reasons".
Dayton apparently continues to lie about this and is now stumbling over the lie with the "uhh...uhhh" responses. Don't worry Mark, the MN Media establishment has you covered.
