Thrilled to see the repeal of Obamacare in the House today.

In the spirit of bipartisanship (not),  may I just say regarding Mrs Obama's dress selection for tonight's state dinner.....FAB-U-LOUS.  I loooooove Alexander McQueen as a designer (and you don't see him much.)

I saw a mint, classic red Oscar de la Renta ball gown at Off Fifth for 80% off the other day-- when it hits 90% it is mine.  I figure there's gotta be some GOP ball at some point in my life where I can wear it, right?  Okay, maybe not....but it may just need to live in my closet anyway.

This is perfection.  Exactly how I want to see an American first lady.  (I would have ditched the non-matching wrap though and added a bit of sparkle at the ear or wrist.)  But after some very bad choices of late-- I'll take it. 

God bless America.   May this country somehow find the way to get back to the basics so that we can always command this type of presence.

 

Now, if only her husband could show the same boldness with the Chinese.
